Can I do Intraday trading? Will Vested provide any margin like my Indian broker?

Can I do Intraday trading? Will Vested provide any margin like my Indian broker?

With Vested, one can open a brokerage account in the US. The account will be a cash account and not a margin account (used for taking margins and placing multiple intraday trades).

Under the RBI regulations and LRS guidelines, speculative trading falls under prohibited items. While the regulations specifically do not mention intraday trading, the clear intent of the RBI has been to allow individuals to invest long-term via the LRS.

In short, we would recommend not actively engaging in intraday trading using the Vested cash account. Having said that, one can buy and sell the same day to the extent of the cash/buying power available in his or her account.
